Well above timberline by now. They decide to call it a day and come back down. One, they worried about Julia waiting for them on the rock, second, both cell phones had died, third, it was snowing pretty heavily at the top and they were improperly clothed, and reason number four...they wouldn't have a reason to come back and try it again!!
